AT 15:37 hours Sunday afternoon, York County Box 33-100 was struck for the explosion with burn victim at 44 Beaver Creek Road in Paradise Township, just off the Lincoln Highway.
Units arrived to find what appeared to be a homemade incinerator that had exploded and one male subject severely burned.
Engine 33-2 arrived, advanced a hand line to extinguish any remaining fire in the container. The engine crew found several tires burning as well as a small propane cylinder.
EMS began treatment of the injured victim, as Engine 11-1 established a landing zone at the Paradise Township Municipal Building for a Stat helicopter.
The victim was flown to a hospital for his injuries.
Unis operating on scene included E33-2, E11-1, E3-1, EMS 11a, M51, M46, Stat, FP from 33 and 11 as well as Regional Police.
