:: Hanover Road (2-16-16)

EMT Pandoli came upon this auto accident on his way into Gettysburg this morning. Originally dispatched as Hoffman Rd and Hanover Rd in Straban Twp, Box 1-9. The crash was in front of 1926 Hanover Rd, Mt Pleasent Twp. AC 911 Received numerous calls of a head on crash with fire, involving a car and lumber truck. Was found to be a total of 3 vehicles involved with no injuries thankfully. Rescue 1, Chief 1, Chief 54, MICU 54-3, Traffic 1 and FP from 33 and 29 responded. Roadway was extremely icy. Engine compartment fire was extinguished prior to FD arrival (AREMS EMT). Roadway was shut down for an extended period of time for clean up and PennDot to salt and treat roadway.Photo submitted by contributing photographer Tony Pandoli
