Adams County box 33-4 was struck at 06:10 for the commercial building fire at the old Keystone Diner (now the New Oxford Family Diner) on the York Road. Chief 33 marked up on the call and was advised multiple calls recieved for flames visible, he went with the working fire dispatch. Chief 33 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing from the C-D corner of the single story unoccupied restauarnt with heavy smoke throughout the building. Engine 33-2 first in, laying a 5" supply line and began an exterior attack until additional crews arrived. A 5" inch supply line was laid in from the Cross Keys intersection with a relay set up of several engine companies to gett he water nearly 3000 feet. The bulk of the fire was knocked within 45 minutes, with extensive overhaul operations needed. The Pennsylvania State Police FM was requested to the scene. This was the second restaurant fire in this companies first due in less than thirty days.
