:: Nitterhouse Drive (11-20-13)

At 19:59 hours, units nits were alerted to the entrance of Kmart Distribution Center in Box 44-06 for a fuel spill. Squad 41 found a tractor trailer sitting at the Guard Shack with approximately 35 gallons of diesel fuel already on the ground, still leaking from the passenger side saddle tank and the Maintenance crew from Kmart Distribution containing the spill with hy-dry. With a large wrecker already on scene, the crew had the wrecker operator hook up to the tractor and lift it up to stop the leak while the Squad crew used putty to secure the hole. Local EMA was requested to the scene. Crews assisted with spreading hy-dry until being released by Chief 46 at 8:50 pm.
